We woke up at St Josephs school this morning. We packed, opened Demi's Birthday presents and got ready to go to Dougies mine tour. We had a walk around the town and met John (Tour Guide) At a railway station and then got in the bus and drove to the mines. The first thing we saw at the mines was a river that was orange from all the copper. We drove up the mountains and saw that the mine was so much bigger than we could see from the road. We went up to the top of the mine and saw the whole view and threw rocks off the edge.
After a long drive we arrived and set up at Zeehan caravan park. After lunch we went to the Zeehan Museum. The museum had lots of different things, mainly based on the history of mining, and trains. From there we went to Strahan and the first stop was the Choo Chew Lolly Shop. Everyone has had way too much sugar (Mr Fab wrote this!!). We went across the road and did some gift shopping at the Gordon River Cruises shop.
"The ship that never was" was next. The play was brilliant. It went through some history of the ship The Frederick, and the actors picked out a lot of Sacred Heart Students to be in the play.
We are now back at the Caravan Park and having a disco celebrating Demi's Birthday. It's been another great day. Pictures coming, downloads taking too long - we want to party!!! Dynamite
